Here is my latest project for my daughter's room. I wanted something to be able to display pictures, souvenirs, and special things for her....but I didn't want a plain brown cork board.

I found a great size cork board (17 in x 23 in) at a yard sale for 25 cents. I already had some pretty flower print fabric that matched her room and a piece of 1/2 in foam the size of the board. I just had to buy some ribbon and buttons that matched.

Basic directions:
I cut the foam the size of the board. Covered the foam and board with the fabric and used a staple gun to attach the fabric to the backside of the wood frame. Then cut the ribbon in the lengths for the design I wanted and also used the staple gun to attach the ribbon to the backside of the frame. Finally, attached the buttons where the ribbon crossed with 'Liquid Stitch' fabric glue.
